To date I have done two trainings with the Institute of Coaching Studies, the first being the ICF Level 1 training and I know that the structure, teaching approach and practice sessions set me up to be a good coach.More recently, just a few days ago, I completed the Micro-cert in Somatic Coaching and I highly recommend it. What I found valuable was the comprehensive workbook, the focus on both the coach and the client, the practice sessions and the embodied approach. The structure of it makes learning easy. It is a 5 star course. Thank you Institute of Coaching Studies for helping me grow as a coach.

Words alone can’t do justice to the value of the education and support that I received from the institute. Although I completed a Level 1 certification, the training I received went beyond the ACC level and truly helped me go deeper into more transformational coaching- I truly learned to coach the person and not the problem.Marion and Lucy were excellent role models and teachers - warm, supportive and nurturing - exactly what you would hope for from an educational setting. I also appreciated the small class size during the live sessions, which helped make learning more personalized and intimate. I made some great connections and still keep in touch with some of my cohorts, almost 2 years after completing the live sessions.The mentorship experience was wonderful and Jessica created a really safe learning space. I took away many tidbits from those sessions, which have helped me become a stronger coach.All in all, I would 10/10 recommend this institute and will definitely return in the future for continuing education or furthering my coach training.

The CCE CBC training was a professionally delivered training, with great support materials, a lot of peer practice in break out rooms and a great instructor: an experienced coaching psychologist. The training days are well structured so the whole day training doesn't feel overwhelming. It was all backed by scientific research.

If you want to be set on the path to become a great coach then the Institute of Coaching Studies is the place to study with to become that. I am very grateful that I did my certificate in coaching with them. I really like how they structured the sessions to get the most out of becoming a coach, and embedding the ICF ethics and standards within it. I valued the mix of theory and practical sessions each week. I highly recommend them if you are thinking of training as a coach. In particular I liked that the class sizes are capped to 8 participants, that the content is structured in a way that supported my growth as a coach and the numerous great resources we received.

I participated in 10 hours of online mentor coaching to renew my ICF ACC certificate. 7 hours were held in a small group and 3 hours one on one. Marion talked us through the core competences in an interesting way, using concrete examples and involving us all along. We coached each other live, discussing together what went well and what could be developed. There was ample opportunity to raise questions. Marion is not only an extremely competent coach, she also knows how to make people feel comfortable and open up. The one-on-one meetings were based on coaching samples sent in beforehand and formed an excellent opportunity to address individual aspects of coaching. Thank you for the great learning, Marion!

Perhaps the most impactful personal growth I've experienced in years.After extensive research I chose the Certificate in Professional Coaching programme from the Institute of Coaching Studies because the method of delivery of the course best fitted my needs; small class sizes with the learning and practice delivered over the right timescale...The learning experience was intense: consistently challenging my comfort zone in different ways in a safe, supportive environment. I opted for both the Professional Skills Certification and Advanced Diploma and I couldn’t be happier with my experience.The small classes made it easy to connect with others in the group plus this allowed enough time to discuss the various theories, tools and foundations for a solid understanding.As for content, the included handbooks were clear, concise and organised. Other big pluses included having access to resources online and a dedicated network for other students to continue making connections, ask questions and share content beyond the course.Marion, who facilitated the classes, is incredibly knowledgeable and created a warm but engaging atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to get involved. I was looking for a professional coaching training and I made the right decision by choosing this one among all the other online. Marion is very knowledgeable and kind. Her teaching goes step by step to make you feel more and more confident in coaching. The coaching training (via Zoom) is a combination of learning the coaching principles and practice with others. We were in a small group which which was perfect to learn quickly, ask questions and get constructive feedback. I highly recommend! I think Marion is excellent. That's it. That's the review.Excellent instruction. Excellent resource. Excellent value for money. Excellent sessions.My experience as part of the March 21 cohort has been educational, eye-opening, enriching. My co-coaches and I developed exponentially over the course of the sessions - I personally saw dramatic change after just session 1 (worth noting here, I was coaching professionally for 6 years prior to seeking my ICF Accreditation). The course is mercifully expedient whilst covering all the ground required in order to go on and get the ACC.I have already recommended the Institute of Coaching Studies to a number of people and will continue to do so because I think it's great. I will be seeking out the coveted PCC accreditation in a year or two so I will definitely be coming back for the advanced course.Seriously, if you're thinking of doing this, do it. You won't regret it.

Brilliant Life Coaching ICF accredited course. Marion was an amazing tutor, who always had an answer to all our questions. I have thoroughly enjoyed my coaching experience with The Reflective Mind /Institute of Coaching Studies. Marion Tilly is a wonderfully patient and knowledgeable coach, her model for teaching is thorough and easy to navigate. As well as useful guidance on the ICF there are plenty of tools to study that make wonderful resources. The live sessions work particularly well as they are straight forward with structured content and offer a full explanation of how to use the tools and how ICF coaching works. I especially enjoyed working in small interactive groups learning by sharing information, asking questions and testing knowledge gained through observed coaching. I would totally recommend this course to anyone looking to up level their qualifications in this area. I'm sad to finish working together but very much looking forward to signing up for Marion's supervision services soon!
