I think I really was incredibly lucky to have found this course with Marion. She is a skilled coach and facilitator, embodying the coaching values and mindset she teaches. As a therapist, I was particularly relieved at the depth coaching could go to and the ethical stance that was emphasised and encouraged by Marion.
Marion is marvellous at giving feedback and ‘holding the space’ in which to encouraging the budding skills and the self-doubt of a learner coach. Marion was very good at tuning into where the individual coach was at, so whether you are brand new to coaching or already a practicing coach / have therapeutic skills in your current work life, and feel you just need the certificate, Marion will facilitates growth within your coaching practice.
I found Marion always very helpful with any aspects that arose around becoming a coach. The course had a positive knock-on effect not only personally but even, to my surprise and delight, as a therapist.
I would unreservedly recommend this course.
I attended the Professional Coaching Skills Certificate in 2020 and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to develop their coaching skills. I was initially attracted to the course as it is based on the ICF core competencies and because I was able to pace my learning by starting with a certificate level course. It was also important for me to find a course which would allow me to apply what I was learning immediately and so I valued the daily coaching practice offered through this course.
I am now enrolled in the Advanced Coaching Skills training as I really enjoyed the certificate course. The small group size was great as it resulted in a really open and safe learning environment. The course is packed with models and theories so you really feel prepared for anything your clients might come to you with. The course also provides a straightforward coach session structure which means you build confidence quickly and focus less on ‘a structure’ and more on coaching. To top it all off, the course includes mentor coaching which can often be an additional cost if you wish to pursue an ICF accreditation. Overall fantastic experience!
My role as a business coach / consultant was often focussed on the strategic side of my clients’ businesses and I knew that developing my coaching skills would enable me to give my clients a more rounded and complete service.
From the first interaction with Marion I knew I’d found the right person to learn from. The onboarding process was simple and efficient, and the program itself, for me, was life changing. The entire experience was so fulfilling – from the skills I learned to the circle of coaches I learned with (and continue to meet up with a few months on to practice together). Marion is an absolutely incredible coach and trainer – I honestly feel like I hit gold when I signed up with her (let’s face it there are a lot of options out there).
When I first signed up I felt a bit nervous at the thought of signing away my Saturdays for a couple of months… but the way Marion structured the day was perfect, and by the end we all really missed our Saturdays together!
The feedback from my clients has been amazing – they’re telling me that the true coaching they now get from me is changing their mindset around their business more radically than they’d thought possible.
Marion, Thank you SO much for making the training process such a great experience.
I love training with Marion. Attending the Coach Certification training was such a great experience. I enjoyed that we were 6 participants and we got to know each other and support each other. I enjoyed the combination between theory and practice. I can see the difference that practicing coaching during the training did, I gained the confidence that I can coach and changing my career from IT to being a coach. I also enjoyed the feedback from Marion, always looking at what is working and what is that I can improve in my coaching. I got Marion’s support even after the course, always available to clarify what I needed, always on time and keeping her word! My biggest take aways from the training is discovering how a professional coach looks like, what is that ICF requires from a coach, training myself to be a coach and gaining the confidence to be one. Thank you Marion!
My experience with Marion has been excellent, I took the module 1 coaching course which was very valuable in initiating my coaching career. The training is very well-balanced, so you don’t feel overwhelmed with all the information you learn in a day. The groups are a great size, they are small, so it allows all the participants to interact and participate in a relaxed space. Marion has a wealth of coaching knowledge and does a fantastic job of explaining everything in detail. The course was so beneficial on a personal and professional level that I have already signed up for the module 2 course.
Overall, I give the Institute of Coaching Studies training course an A* and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get ICF accredited.
I found the coaching course very useful. Marion created a safe and comfortable space for everyone to be themselves and to share anything that came up for them. I loved that Marion gives feedback constructively and honestly to move forward my coaching practice. On top of this, I found the coaching tools very useful and include them in my practice each week to support clients on their journey. Throughout the coaching program and afterward, Marion takes good care of all her participants. I feel more confident to coach and create my own coaching programs after participating on the course.
I was looking for a way to take my coaching training further along the accreditation route, and I was drawn to Marion’s course as it embraced all coaching niches. As a general life coach, with a special interest in positive psychology, emotional literacy and wellbeing, both the ACC and PCC course, piqued my interest.
Marion is an excellent trainer. The material is delivered in manageable chunks, and it is clear that Marion is familiar with the material she is sharing, as she is able to clearly and succinctly explain the salient points. Her approach is logical, gentle, reassuring and steady, which keeps the pace of the learning achievable, as there is plenty of material covered in both courses.
The course materials themselves are thorough – the handbooks are professionally prepared and are accompanied by corresponding slides which illuminate the important parts. The learning platform is easy to navigate and holds numerous valuable documents.
The tools and models learnt in both the ACC and PCC level courses have been fascinating and useful to apply within my own coaching practice. Marion’s style of training is engaging and she presents very well in the online space, pausing slides when necessary to allow for discussion which facilities greater understanding.
Furthermore, the group sizes are small, so it feels like a supportive community, and Marion is able to provide really tailored and specific feedback to the practice coaching sessions she observes that take place at the end of each session.
Once the course itself has finished, it is possible to remain in the community of support that Marion has created a from past course participants. All in all, Marion hosts a warm, friendly, caring, and professional space to take your coaching skills to the next level.
